Texas Midwest Community Network Conference
Rural Leaders Invited to Texas Midwest Community Network Annual Conference in Abiliene on Wednesday , October 14th.
Rural communities across Texas are navigating growth, new technology and major development projects. The TMCN Annual Conference on October 14 in Abilene will bring community leaders together for practical conversations about preparing for what’s ahead.
The conference will feature a real-time case study on the City of Haskell with Mayor Christina Isbell and Haskell Fire Chief Casey Moeller, moderated by Breckenridge City Manager Cynthia Northrop. Attendees can also participate in Rural Exchange sessions focused on chambers and tourism, economic development and municipalities, along with sessions covering AI, tax abatements and agreements, and community readiness.
A free community readiness guide will also be available at the conference. Developed from CEN’s EPIC data center deep dive series, the guide is designed to help communities bring the right people to the table early and identify important questions as major projects develop.
The conference is an opportunity for mayors, city staff, EDCs, chambers, ISDs, IHEs and other community leaders to connect, learn from one another and explore practical approaches to community readiness.
